Even though i am not great at dock fishing by any means, that is exactly the way to catch crappie on hartwell until they spawn. I would try the eastanole creek area or lightwood log area though. With the warm weather this week, there should be shallow fish in every creek now. Trolling for me , does not produce very well on Hartwell compared to the other lakes i go to.

My buddy and I are headed down that way this weekend and we are new to the lake too. We'll be up the river a ways, so won't be stealing your spots Plowboy . But just wanted to give you a heads up that there is a big Crappie USA tourney out of Green Pond ramp, so you may want to stay away from that area. Any info on lake conditions KHNC?

Most of the creeks are heavily stained and 58-59 degrees as of last Sunday.
