Lake Russell Slab!

My cousin exclusively fishes Lake Russell. He has caught numerous crappie close to 3, but never broke it. Caught this 3.2 yesterday. Here’s what y’all can look forward to at slab fest 2020!

6 i believe. I had thought originally he was single pole casting, but turns out they were night fishing with lights from his pontoon.

Very nice crappie. Three pounders don’t come around much but Russell is a lake where a 4 pounder will be caught at some point. Congratulations on a nice crappie!

That's a very nice fish! Like mentioned, true 3lbers are hard to come by. A lot of folks catch 3lbers that never see a scale, but to have a legit 3 pounder under your belt is something to be proud of. A lot of folks fish their whole lives without accomplishing that feat. Tell him congrats!!

Pretty sure he entered it in the Crappie Contest at Sportsmans One Stop. Thats where this pic was taken im pretty sure.
