Hope everyone is OK. Linda went into Matthews today and said most traffic lights are off, some businesses don't have power. A real mess

Glad theyre safe. That's a mess to have to deal with though. Sorry that your family has to go thru this.

Thank you. The hard part was waiting for the insurance adjuster since we could not do much until he arrives this morning. We have a tree guy lined up to start this afternoon. And a roofing guys for Sunday afternoon to tarp the roof. But everyone is safe. Just a reminder to enjoy every minute, not to dwell on the small things in life and respect mother nature!

If the area gets that much more rain this coming week, there could be some really nasty flooding in addition to what has already happened. Lakes Hartwell, Russell, and Thurmond (Clarks Hill) are all near 3 ft above full pool. They are talking about opening the flood gates for potentially all three. I am sure other lakes in the area are in no better shape. This could get really bad.

I noticed when I crossed the 74 bridge this morning, they are drawing the lake way down. I know the houses up around Mt. Island Lake are prone to flooding. Our neighbor had 6 big pines that either snapped or uprooted last week, and we had 3 trees on our property line to snap off.
