    I'm wanting to make a trip on sunday morning to Russell, Savannah river side. Any reports on water clarity or just plain trashy would be appreciated thanks in advance.

    It's very very rare for the main river run on Russell to ever get muddy. There are a couple of creeks that can stain it for a short section, like the one just below Sanders Ferry bridge. But there will be so much clean water coming down from Hartwell dam it will usually clean up fast. The year Clarks Hill got so far out of its banks, the only places I saw much stain on Russell was in Beaver Dam and way on up the Rocky River.
