Let’s take a poll. What is your favorite method to catch black crappie during the winter months??

I fish anyway that will put them in the livewell be it tight linning or pulling. Mainly I let the wind dictate which method I am going to use. On my pontoon I carry all of my rods for pulling and tight linning. I have minners at my dock so I can decide what I want to do before leaving the house.

Looselining.
I put out 11 rods with no weight, just minnows
Let them wallow around until its its one big mess. Then go home.

Takes about 8 minutes

Same as spring, summer and fall months: casting jigs with one rod only.

I've never fished for crappie in the winter. This will be my first year trying it. So, we'll see.
