Main drawback is a rough ride, however this boat has a more pronounced v-hull than the Duracraft I had and I've had it out on Murray in near whitecap conditions and it is surprisingly smooth.
It's a 16' Weldcraft with a 50 Tohatsu motor. I moved my IPilot and seat to it and a few other tweaks. Basically a new boat, motor had 15 hours on it when the deaker did the break in service.
I called it my funeral boat because I hope it will serve me for rest of my fishing days. Also I'm pretty sure my wife will indeed kill me if I try to change again. We've been in our house for 12 years and this is my 5th boat so she does have a point.

Sounds like a Viking funeral. Put on a raft, set on fire, pushed out to sea

Ray, I think you have at least one more boat in your future. I'm on #6
Always thought a stick steer was the way to go, just no sure if I could sit still that much. If I don't keep moving the knees start talking to me

Grady, that's 5 since we've been in our present home. There have been several more over the years. 5 that I can remember so this is at least number 10!

We've been fishing Monticello but as it cools we will fish more on Murray. Which lake would y'all prefer to fish?
