    Default Short Trip on 10/5

Finally made it back out on Wylie Saturday morning for a short trip in hopes of finding some cats. Anchored in Crowder's for first stop and came up empty. Came out to the main channel in front of Crowder's and tried drifting in the 12mph wind!!! Bite was slow but did manage one good female. Didn't get a weight on her, but a good fight nonetheless! Wind would be tough to stay slow on the drift. Glad you got out and tried. It beats work any day.

Had a drift sock out and a 3 gallon bucket just to stay around .5, which for me is still too fast!.

Yep! .3 or .4 no more than that. I got a large drift sock for the pontoon but never used it! Been lucky! I'm just learning how to drift for them but haven't perfected the lucky part of catching a lot yet.

A good cat, sometimes the fishing is hard and it takes a lot of looking to find the fish and other times one makes the day!!
