Default Lake Wylie Brush Piles 9/25/2019

Went brush pile fishing and been doing the work to get the clearwater crappie in brushpiles figured out. Think I am getting it figured out in the summer pattern lower lake. Had to change some tackle and technique. Last Monday wife and I caught limit. Today kept limit and threw back 15.

Brettw made this jig and it caught 95 percent of the crappie both days.

As you know my Grandson passed away a few months ago and he had 3 friends that had a rough growing up in a bad environment. Not have a father to show them things. Well I am taking them out fishing and talking about life. This Friday I am taking the first one out and show how to catch Crappie and about life. Thees 3 are struggling and need your prayers.

BigDawgg and crew has been sited on lake reeling in the perch.

There is a manufacturer recall on that jig.

Good to see you out there and Friday sound like a good plan.

You did great! We ended up with the slow perch jerk with 13 in the live well and all released to another day. We could not stay away from the catfish. Remus had a nice cat at 12 lbs. and several smaller 2 to 2.5 lb. I had several close to his but all were thrown back to grow for CBNC. No crappies for us but that's not what we were after. I guess CBNC will post something later and all I can say is he was on them.

You did well to avoid the crappie.

Nice report and catch CK. Good mentors are always needed, and there's nothing like time on the water to help to forget about problems and to get your life back on track. Kudos, and good life lessons to the kids.

Good report and catch CK. Good men comes from better men showing and teaching them the way to manhood. Thanks for your willingness to mentor these young men.
