Default Lake Wylie 8/28/2019 "The Cycle of Life"

As you know our family suffered a great lost in my Grandson Aaron back in May. And our family wish to say thanks for all the thoughts and prayers you have demonstrated. I bought my 3 year old Grandson a Spiderman fishing pole and his mom my daughter said all he does is throw the rubber weight all in the house and retrieve night and day. He even brought pole to sleep with him at night. He kept talking about going fishing with Papa. Well that day came yesterday. My daughter and Jesse got on the water and a line in at 11:00. I had rigged his spiderman fishing pole with float hook and worms. Went around some docks to catch bream and no fish. I wanted him to catch a fish so bad so off to brush piles we go. First two brush piles his rig caught none so I decided on the 3rd brush pile I will throw my jigs in water and if I caught one he could bring it in for photos. We stayed for 30 minutes on that brush pile and brought in 6 crappie to watch Jesse face light up. looks like I have Jesse now for a fishing buddy. The cycle of life goes on and Jesse gets to help to fill that void. He saw Papa kiss the fish and release back in the water I think next trip out he will be ready to kiss the fish and say thanks for the fun to the fish.
Edited a footnote Jesse is Aaron's younger brother.

The circle of life indeed. Within the confines of sadness, comes joy and happiness. Fish on little man, fish on!

Glad you got another fishing buddy Mike. You can start making memories with Jesse just like you did with Aaron. God bless you and the family.
