I don’t know if there are crappie in that lake, but has anyone fished Oak Grove Lake in Greenville lately? Was it good or bad?

Been many many years (20+) since I have seen the lake, we use to roller blade around it. With the lake being open with no cover I never fished it but you never know, may have crappie and I'm sure it has bream. I believe the DNR use to stock it and if so they may have placed crappie in the lake. Good luck and let us know

Ronnie I'll race you on rollerblades. If you make it 10 feet without falling you win cause I'd make about 5 feet then splat.
Mark 1:17 ...I will make you fishers of men

I know a lady who caught crappie there 20 years ago. The lake was drained maybe ten years ago.

That’s all I can find are people that used to fish there. I’ve read that the DNR has worked to bring it back, but I can’t talk to anyone who’s fished it recently.

If it is a close lake for you go fish it and let us know what you find. May surprise you and if the DNR has been working on the lake you can bet fish are in the lake.

Spent about an hour there today... there are lots of bushes around the bank and no real cover that I could see. I’m going to try again when I can, but it’s not looking good for this one

I did see some bluegill, so I may come back and bring the kids, but I may go when I have more time and a lighter rod...
