Jeff, anytime you feel like going holler at me. If I can go we can load up and go unless you scared of lightning! The last storm came from down your way. You put your pontoon in at Stumpy Pond on Great Falls side?

Sky was clear then bam all heck broke lose. I respect lighting and I like to watch it even at close range. Last night was a good night to watch it. But not on the water that close.

There has been many a day this year I’ve been dodging storms. Glad y’all was smart and packed it in. Sounds like a good bite was going on prior to storms arrival.

Wow! Lightning and water don’t mix. Might want to make a sticky on this. Great lesson here.

Heck of a rain storm and popping lighting rushed in on us. We thought it may pass as fast as it came. Not happening, it hung on us for at least 30 minutes. We managed to get to the bridge at the Nuclear station to get some cover over us as the lighting was hitting land all around us. Beautiful show! I'm not scared of it but I think Ferlon was getting a little worried. DJ is 11 and he just covered his ears. After waiting out the biggest portion of the rain and the lighting moved on toward Clover we packed it in and came to Ebenezer ramp. Got to the ramp it stopped raining.: Doh: But we were soaked and ready to go. We did catch some fish in a new hole I think will be a hot spot later on. 17 crappies all good solid 10-12" and 4 catfish biggest about 4 pounds and two bass about 2-3 pounds plus of course perch found us, lots of them. So, if you think 20-25% chance of rain won't get you wet then come and go with us!

If I'm on Russell and want fish for the table, you better believe that those spotted bass are coming home with me! Largemouth bass flavor seems to be up and down around here. Can be good or not so good, but those open water spots are downright delicious!

Butch, I'm thinking the longline fishing is out there waiting for us already on both Russell and the Hill. With three nights forecast in the 40's mid week, it should be awesome by the weekend!
