    Default Heat and batteries

Might want to check the water levels in your batteries. Checked mine yesterday evening and spent a lot of time filling them to the top. Two batteries were really low. They hook to my inverter and they seemed to have gotten low since early spring when I checked them last. Doesn't help with the heat and maintaining a trickle charge constantly. Just a heads up to prevent you from having to buy a new battery at the last minute.
Thanks crp4570 thanked you for this post

Checked mine last week, my 2 trolling batteries were real low. I filled them with acid.

Please double check me, but the only thing that evaporates from wet cell batteries is water. You should top off with distilled water not acid. As i stated please verify to satisfy that I am correct, but that has always been my understanding. Adding more acid can be detrimental to the battery.

I always understood that it was the water that evaporated. Perhaps adding acid to a dead battery might help to rejuvenate it.

Allen and I started adding just acid a few years ago. Actually Allen has been doing this for several years. He has gotten 7 or 8 years off trolling batteries. That's why I started adding just acid.

Matthew, I am thinking O'Reilly has it or Pep Boy's.
Saw this on Google in part of reason's of dead battery:
Regular topping up with distilled or demineralized water ensures that level of electrolyte is maintained. Evaporation of water component of battery electrolyte has to be compensated by topping up with water on a regular basis at defined intervals.
