Selling the name only, just like everyone else does! It will be a boat paddle for me if it gets more expensive. I'm already about to steal Uncle remus's Fishfinder 8 and use it.

IMO....anybody has ALOT of work to do to beat out the reputation AND the longevity that MinnKota offers. Ive been running their motors from a MK 10 up to my current I-Pilot 70 lb thrust motor and I will tell ya that has spanned the past 45+ years and I haven't had a trolling motor to fail me yet.

And a $3000 price tag?!? I am one that isn't very interested in the offering.

To my understanding Lowrance has come out with a AC motor drive. DC voltage is converted into AC voltage. This technology has been used for years in the electric forklift industry. This means no brushes, extremely quiet and longer run time before recharging the batteries, especially the AGM batteries. I can't back the Lowrance TM because I have not yet seen or heard one in operation. I have no doubt it will be costly. But it will likely be one sweet TM.
