    Default Wylie 6-18-19

Finally, a good trip to wylie. Water is still pretty muddy on Big A but a little clearer on Little A. Sonar is still looking funny like maybe a thermocline has set up. Marked a bunch of stuff down to 12'. Looked like fish. Tried a couple of spots on big A without any luck. Mover around to Little A & hit the jackpot. We dropped anchor just about where the sonar started showing something that looked like a thermocline. We were about 1/2 way up in little A.

We caught all out perch in about 12 to 15' which is just above where the stuff started looking funny. Had a bunch of large perch this time.

Probally caught about 100 perch & 1 bass, all before 10. Bait was large minnows cut into pieces.

Headed to wateree in the morning to try the cats.

If that is the thermocline most all the fish will be above it. Very little oxygen below it. Maybe the mud makes it more defined on the DF. I think Butch made the comment the other day that it looked like a thermocline when someone posted a muddy image from Wylie.

Thank you Mr. Charles for the report. I remember someone saying we don't have a thermocline due to the water draw from the dam and Wylie not being deep enough! It could be just thick muddy water and trash particles. Maybe just cold muddy water creating a line. I don't care if you are catching fish. But, I got something else to keep me from finding out and it's work! Brett, you may be on to a good idea early morning or late evening. Go do it and report to us a good trip of catching.
