Default Since the lakez are flooded

    I present my wife's grandfathers WW1 life

Cleaning out family stuff i ran across my wife's Grandfather s WW1 uniform, medals, German belt buckles, shell casings, Queen Victoria lighter. Dog tag.
    Amazing stuff.

He was in the 314th , 80th Army
    Blue Ridge Company.
All were from Md, Pa, WVa, or Virginia. Blue Ridge mountains on the patch.
They repaired telegraph wires and had very high casualties

Definitely a keepsake. I know he was a proud soldier.

Great stuff Brett! Hold on to it as long as you can then pass it on. We had stuff my dad and his brothers collected from WWII but where it is now no one knows. To many hand in the till over the years. Very nice of you to post it for us to see. Thanks

That is an awesome grouping! I've been collecting WWI and WWII stuff for over 30 years, and it's amazing what families will actually sell/throw away...no appreciation for the sacrifice at all. Treasure those incredible pieces of history!

What a great collection and treasure you have. Cherish it.

The greatest treasure we have is my grandfather. He is 96 and was in WWII and Purple Heart recipient. He has donated a lot of his stuff to the local Veterans Museum. Visited him yesterday on Fathers Day. Love him greatly!!!
