    Default Greenwood

Fished Greenwood Thursday and Saturday. Thought with the first full moon in May they would be on the bed. I fished 20 to 25 different beds and haven't found one yet with fish on it. Not quite sure what is going on down there.

Caught some nice blue gills and shell crackers a week ago and went back the wind was a factor that day and only caught smaller gills.

It's not the numbers or the size, it's the time spent on the water!

May want to look deeper for beds. These high temps we are having has got to be heating up the shallows more than the fish can stand to spawn in. With temps going to reach the mid 90's it will be interesting to see the reports on gill and crackers the rest of this month.

Interesting situation at Santee on the Shellcrackers and Bream.
The Shellcrackers have been active for 4-6 weeks now. The spot we fished Wednesday probably had 300-500 fish come out over the month.
Tapered off after that, and by Saturday we were catching 5-6 Bream to 1 Shellcracker.
Bream should be bedding for the next few months now, at least in the upper Santee.
