    Default Todays trip on Wylie

Met up with Uncle Remus at 6 am for a perch hunting trip. It was exactly that hunting for them. We looked at all our usual places and a couple of new spots. It was a couple here and a couple there all morning. Never hitting a bunch at any time. We managed two crappies early and released them to swim some more, two bass no size at all, five catfish and forty perch all medium to small size. Gave all the fish to Miss Laura to share with her family. It was a nice morning well spent remembering stuff and catching a few fish in the process. Thanks again Uncle Remus for taking the Dawgg out! Only took time to take a couple pictures.

We tried mill creek today looking for perch also. None to be had. Drifted some cut bream for cats for a while. Put 5 small cats in the boat & missed several more. There were a lot of boats out today.

How do y’all tell the difference between white bass and perch?

The perch bite was also much slower on lake hickory. Wonder what the deal is???

To tell the difference between a perch and white bass, flip him on his back and look at his nose. If it's blue, it's a perch.

Thanks for the report. Wife and I went out Friday I told her it will be a tough day. Did some longline at first and only caught two crappie. Did some brushpiles and none. Went searching for perch last 90 min and just caught a couple. It was a tough morning. Gave up about 10:30. Even Perch park was nothing.
