There's only one answer this time of year.... some maybe on docks but the majority have already done there thing and are head back out to brush, could be shallow brush but on brush none the LESS>
Hey guys,
My Dad and I are heading to Wateree for Memorial Day weekend for our yearly father/son tip. I do a good bit of catfishing an striper fishing on Wateree, but not much crappie fishing on this lake. We will be staying in the Beaver Creek area. Does anyone have any pointers on techniques or areas to start? Should we tightline or focus on docks or brushpiles?
Any help to get started would be appreciated!
Thank you,
Trace

I fished the lower end of the lake today and did well concentrating on brush piles. Fished brush between 18 and 30 feet deep. Minnows and 3/8 split shot.
