    Default Santee

Headed for a long weekend at Santee next week. Going to mainly be targeting catfish but may crappie fish a little too. I was wondering what the water temp is now on the upper lake. I know some good places to catch shallow cats. But have no idea where to start for crappie will be staying up Potato creek. Any pointers appreciated

With the warm weather, water temps have risen to mid 60’s. Crappie are being caught both deep and shallow in both lakes.

I will be there this weekend. Scouting around for a trip at the end of the month. I will let you know how I do. I’m Brooks the guy from clear water crappie on YouTube!

We will probably be down there next weekend as well. Doing the same thing. HEavy on the cats but will be bringing some of the crappie rigs as well.
