Nice! Just don't go so deep on the jigs that you miss the bite which can be shallower in the water column. Remember, the fish look up to see the jigs, not down. Congrats.
I’m hooked.
I marked fish just in creek channels to halfway back in 20-25 Ft of water. Used 1/8 jig heads with variety of slider jigs tipped with minnows. Color didn’t seem to matter. Where I marked fish, I caught fish. I had just got in the biggest fish of the day and was catching two at a time when my trolling batteries ran dead.
Appreciate all the help.
I am ready to go back!

Congrats on the catch and figuring out the fish.
Every year the March winds make me wish I had upgraded to 36 volt TM.

It's not the numbers or the size, it's the time spent on the water!BigDawgg LIKED above post
Glad you are hooked on the long linning. Definitely my favorite way to fish.
Glad you like it. Hope you stick with it and learn how to be successful with it. The catching part is the best!

Yes what Gabowman said. Also if using a 2d fish finder the feet markings are feet from the transducer, if you mark fish at 20 feet they might not be at 20 feet deep. They could be 20 feet away from the transducer and be 16 feet deep because of the cone especially 83 MHZ. 200 mhz is a tighter cone and depth will be closer to feet markings, that was the way I understood it. I usually subtract a few feet with 83 mhz. Always better to error a few feet higher vs 1 foot below.
O yes stay hooked it is one way of catching Crappie.

The deep bite seems to be still producing good fish, congrats on the catch.
