Started this morning around 730. Water temp 56.4. Long line trolling. I only use 6 rods when fishing by myself. Caught a few in 20 ft. Moved further back in creek started catching more in the 10-14 ft range. Only one or two fish at 8 feet. Eventually just started experimenting different creeks that were similar. (Sorry don’t know names, not too familiar with Clark’s Hill.) about 11 the water was right at 60. Still catching fish when I left at 12. Took home about a dozen but caught 37. Mixed bag of white and black crappie. Not bad for playing around testing different creeks. You know you’re doing good whenever you go into a creek and then follow your line because you’re catching fish! Lol.

Glad you were able to find them and put some in the boat. I want to try the bill but I was told that you could not use Dorn because they were paving the road. Anybody know if it is open. I cannot get in boat from shore.

It's not the numbers or the size, it's the time spent on the water!DSorrow08 LIKED above post
The Hill if my favorite lake to fish and if I lived a little closer I would fish it all the time. Congrats on the day.

Don, there's good docks up the lake at the ramps so you don't have to load from the shore while you're waiting on Dorn. Bobby Brown, Morrah, and even the county park on the broad river are all user friendly sites for a person like yourself. There's numerous creeks around all those areas that should be producing right now.

Georgia side. Looking to try S.C. side soon. Only reason GA side is that I like those ramps better. Seems to be better taken care of.
