    Default Fished HARD today!

Started right after 7AM this morning and fished all the way up to 2PM to put a limit of nice fish in the boat. Longlined single and double 1/16ths to begin with and eventually changed all to single 1/16ths. Seen a few guys in a boat catching a few in shallow water so I knew they had to be pulling 1/32nds but no more than they were catching I wasn't gonna change out 14 rods. I fished 4 different creeks today and wound back up in the one I began in to get the limit. Sorry, no pics but total today was 56 crappies and @ a half dozen small stripers and perch. Most fish between 1/2 lb to 1 lb apiece. I also put eight 9" fish in the boat to eat off the bone for a couple meals. Already cannot wait until supper tomorrow night for them babies.

Water temp today was around 53 to 54 degrees and clarity where I fished ranged from close to 1' deep to @ 3' deep. The best bite was in the stained water.

It's not the numbers or the size, it's the time spent on the water!

Yea. I fish the hill maybe 95% of the time. I cut my teeth on that lake. Even though Russell is a good crappie lake it just isn't the same.
