Thread: Lake Wylie CrappieFest

April 13th 2019 - It wont be long now. Time flies around here ya know. With about 5-6 weeks to go we will start our attendance list. This is open to all C.D.C members and friends.

We hope for a good turnout of kids again this year. There is a division for kids up to age 13. Then another for kids up to 16. Wives and girlfriends are welcome. We may have something for that group also. But please get us a total number for your crew. And ages ok the kids .

As always safety is number one ! Everyone on your boat must have a PFD. As for the timing we plan to blastoff at 7:00 a.m. or safelight. Please sign in with us before you launch. We will be setup under the big shelter at the ramp side of the park.Fish till 1:00 p.m. Be at the ramp before 1:15 or weigh in wont count. There is another group out that day also. They will be in by 12:00 so should be cleared by 1:00.

For weigh in it will be biggest 5 crappie. Also biggest single crappie. This is a per boat count. For the kids it will be 5 FISH (any species ) But there will be the one largest crappie for kids also.Please let those kids catch and reel in the fish. Help em out but let them catch it. Don't catch a big cat or bass and just say that Little Billy caught it just to win. Let those kids have the fun.

Lunch is hotdogs,burgers and BBQ. If you want to bring an item post it here. As time gets closer we will know how much to bring. Donations of prizes are always welcome. Any item you think someone would enjoy we take it. Also cash donations are welcome. We have a donation jar available at the lunch table.

I am sure I left out something important so please p.m. myself, BiggDawgg, C.K.,MThook,or Turkeyfoot for answers . So lets get an idea of who will be there for the fun and food. Maybe even a few fish tales thrown in. Hope to see a crowd there on April 13th.

What ramp? Haven’t fished Wylie in over 30yrs.
