Nice fish! Glad you all got out on the water!
My good friend Jiggs has had some health issues of late, and we decided that what he needed was the best medicine I know....time out on the water!
We've had a lot of rain in this area, and I knew Clark's Hill would be stained in the upper end where I usually fish. We did a little looking and tried a couple of different creeks. The air temp started in the 30's and barely made it to 50°. The water temps ranged from 46 to 48°. While the fishing was never fast, it was steady, and we were rewarded with some excellent quality fish, including a pair of back to back two pounders!
Dark colors worked best in the stained water, and we were blessed to put together a nice box of fish. Afterwards, we both agreed that we needed another dose of this medicine real soon!

Glad you were able to get him out on the water and put some fish in the boat. Have you heard of anything happening in the sc little river
Sinkermaker, a friend drove across Little River today, and he declared it totally "blowed out"...his term for being muddy enough to plow and plant corn! Doubtful it'll improve much with as many as 8 days of rain in the forecast!

It's not the numbers or the size, it's the time spent on the water!
I was in SC Little River this weekend, before the rain and it was pretty nasty muddy from just below the 378 bridge on up. Buffalo Creek was much warmer than anywhere else I went but I never marked anything in there. There was a concentration of boats in there and I never saw them get anything as I was easing past them. Soap Creek looked much better and I marked a good bit more in there. They bit very early then shut down for me.
Congrats ! Them some gooderns !
