One tip I have is change out the hook, it is sorry!!! I replace with a size bigger, size 6. It catches better and the small fish don’t get all 3 hooks in their mouth as often!!

Anybody looking for rattling spoons?? The Bass Shack has them for anyone in the Shelby area. I didn’t buy them all, didn’t want to hog them all up. Better gettem before I go back.

I got to work the next 2 days, but hopefully I can get over there before they are gone.
I'd love to find some local. Was gonna check Academy next time I'm over there (an hour away). How much are they running where you bought those? I might just order some online.
Health nuts are going to feel stupid someday, lying in hospitals dying of nothing.
Tackleboat, I believe you mentioned that you are fishing these with very small rod movements, just twitching it a few inches. Is that correct? I have had good luck with rattle spoons in water below 50 degrees but rarely in water warmer than that for some reason. But I have been fishing them with a more traditional jigging stroke of a couple of feet and letting it fall on a slack line to the bottom and repeating.
Could you elaborate a little more on how you are fishing these? How many inches would you say you are moving them on the up stroke, quick jerk up or slower, free fall or semi tight lining them down? I tend to fish mostly Berry's Spoons and change it up and try lots of different length jigging strokes from a few inches to 5 feet, from very slow to very fast and usually let it free fall back until I see what they want. But it's really interesting to see what is working for others.

I usually jig it up about 12-18 inches and let fall on a slack line. Sometimes you’ll feel the bite at the bottom. If not getting bit I’ll jig up about 12 inch and then jig it up about 3-4 inches twice and then hold still for about 5 seconds. You be amazed how many bites come sitting still. If the bite is really slow I’ll just twitch 3-4 inches 4 or 5 times real quick then sit still. Doesn’t take long to figure out what they want. If you see them on The fishfinder on the bottom and up 4-6 ft. I’ll just reel up slow with no added action. This works great and I catch bigger fish this way but they have to be aggressively feeding and chasing.
