    Default Monticello 12-15

We waited till the last rain shower went by and launched at 215 ramp about 11ish.

Found a school of perch in 45' and got some keepers, then the loons moved in on us from all sides.

I counted 13 within a good cast from the boat and I think they got every one of our shorts.

Broke a rod setting the hook on something strong, so catfish or a dang loon.

Wound up with about a dozen filet size perch and a 16"channel cat for the whisker whipper.

The wind got really strong about 2:30 and called it a day.

Whipper did catch green carp 2 at a time!!

Monticello has been off a bit for me the last couple trips, catching plenty but lot of smalls that the loons catch when you throw back. Think I’m gonna fish Murray Tuesday. Thanks for the report.
