Finally got out again this morning, and headed over to Bowen to give them a try again(only had a couple hours). Met up with Bama18 from here on CDC, he’s a super nice guy. Hope we can try it again sometime. He had been asking about what I do at that lake, and I showed him what I knew. Which I hope was helpful. But we caught a few nice ones, enough to stink the pan up for a good meal. Survived the cold, and had fun. Sorry no pics from the trip. The ones we found were in deep water (20-25’ deep) on vertical structure suspending 12-16’ deep. Water temp was mid 40’s, water color was stained, wind was out of N/E about 5mph. As for bait, old faithful (1/32oz.black slabtail) seem to work best with a very slow presentation. A jig tipped with small minnows may have put a few more in the boat.

With the water temp in the 40's I can see the fish holding deep. Good to hear y'all found some biting and had a good time on the water.
