Man was it a cold day with some bitter wind. Stupid and Stupidest went today and plucked around and found a few fish looking for some heat. Looked around in BA and marked fish but couldn't slow down to reach them. Looked in front of the mouth and no way to slow down in the open. Went into LA and found a little spot that had no wind but a gust or two every once in a while. Caught 5 crappies and about 20 large perch for our showing. At least Delbert can say he knows someone who is crazy for going in that stuff. But you can't get them sitting at home watching Jerry Springer! Only got one picture in the beginning. Del is cleaning the fish tomorrow and maybe he will send me a picture of total catch. Only saw two boats today, one coming in and a kayak in the neck close to the ramp.
Hopefully the wind will go away this week and I can get back out there for more fun.LOL

WOW!!! Is all I can say. Assuming you guys had temps and wind anything like we had here... You guys are a sight tougher than I am... and I freely admit it,,, no doubt.
I don't think I would have had enough winter clothes... even if I wore everything I own.. to keep me where I needed to be out there today.
Thanks for sharing your COLD fishin' day with the rest of us.

I agree those two are a better man than me. I stayed home warm and drank coffee. Thanks for sharing the report.

Sorry, I put the wrong date on the heading. Should have been 21 not 22. I got two great pairs of bibs and a hooded hunting coats. Gloves are heavy insulated and I wore Tennis shoes. Reel feel was at 27 degrees most all day! Delbert borrowed my other set of bibs and coat. He stayed warm all day and never put gloves on. The ride back in was the coldest part of the day. For those that care water temp was 50 degrees rising to 51 later in the day. May go again later today if I find someone crazy like me!

Honestly I didn’t get cold, but I did look like the Michelin Tire Man. I only saw one boat. Glad you found a few. Some brag about being tuff, others prove it.

Thank you Sir! Catching should get better in a few days. I think this cold snap put them in limbo.

Couldn't go today but was hoping to. Didn't put a light over my minnows last night and they froze. Last time I kept them in the house Henry, my grandson fingered them to death. Sometimes just can't win for losing. Doug it was a good day for fishing. I've been in the same conditions and caught a lot of fish tight lining with heavier weights to hold your jig down. I wish it would hurry up and turn cold and the water to hit the 40 degree mark so we can get out to deeper water on the channel ledges. Some maybe heading there now after what I saw yesterday. I only got cold going in with the wind on my face and air blowing into my hood. My metal knees were stiff as all get out. My fingers were aching this morning from arthritis But I'll do it again.
