    Default Before the rain

Took a quick trip up to High Rock couple weeks ago. Sorry for the delay but Jake couldnt figure how to post pictures yet. Anyway Thursday , Sept. 6 we took off from Bringle Ferry Ramp or what ever it is called . Headed around to Panther Creek is what I was told it was. Or maybe Panther point. Anyway we got there. Was gonna pull cranks and see what happened. Well bout 5 minutes into the pull had 2 rods go down at once. I got mine in. It was a decent 11 inch crappie. Jake was busy tangleing up lines on his side. A big old slimey ! It messed up 5 out of 7 rods. Only one safe was the one I had in the boat. When I say messed up ! We cut all of em apart and re-rigged everything. Finally got all 8 rods back out. Another pull. Another slimy. Long story short he caught 12 -15 slimeys. And 1 white perch. All in about 1 hour. We picked up and ran from there. Another spot out near the mouth of a creek. Bout 20 fow. Bang another crappie for me. And you wont believe it. 3 moe slimeys for Jake ! Anyway we kept knocking around and happened on a hump coming up to 15 ft. Picked up 3 more crappie. Turned around and back over it. 2 more. We kept this up for bout an hour and it was time for us to come south. Had to be an early day. We left em biting.Think we caught 15 crappie and kept 12. I did catch 3 slimys but Jake had 20-25. I quit counting and kept retying everything. But we had a great day no matter what was caught.Just hope this rain lets us fish The Clash on 29th. I know where I will start. Name: IMG_1274 (1).jpg

Yeah I work there near farmer school and cross the uwharrie river bridge on 49. Usually can’t hardly see the water and it’s at least 20’ below bridge. This morning it was even with the road. I have video but can’t upload here. Insane amount of water.
