    I'm always amazed how fast they can drop Murray when they want to. I was surprised they sent that much water down stream with all the rain expected in the low country. I guess protecting the integrity of the dam is top priority in an event like this.

    If you have never seen them open the spillway when they need to dump a lot of rain then you have no idea just how fast they can dump water. I have lived here close to 30 years and only seen it a couple times.
