I tie about a 1000 jigs each year to sell and to use myself. white chartruse and yellow are what most people ask for. Except them folks from Georgia, they don't care what I use as long as it blue!! lol
I’ve been a Crappie fisherman my whole life but wanting to start tying some hair Jigs. What have y’all found to be some of the better colors. I mainly fish Hartwell. Thanks.

White with pink wing and black head. Works good on Wylie. Yellow with white wing and red head is good too!

I don't use the hair jigs but my neighbors peacock got loose and ventured across the road. He lost a couple feathers and i thought some of the small feathers looked like would be killer jig tiein materials. Anyone ever used em

On Hartwell in stained water red/yellow/white and red/ white/ yellow
And the clear water chart/white/chart
And chart/ white/white
My fire tiger works good in both clear and stained.
There are many different color combos that work on given days and on Hartwell colors that work best will change though out the day. Kemp tail jigs (calf tails) work very well and smaller jigs with a slow fall is a favorite on brushpiles and dock shooting.
Good luck fishing the hair jigs.
