    Default Ultera

Took my brand new ultera over to the crappie hole to be fixed. It would not deploy. Should get it back in about 2 weeks. Might find a new home for it when I get it back. I love the motors but it is beginning to tick me off.

Just curious. Did you get the 2017 and up model that has the Bluetooth capabilities.
That's what I have. I thought the bugs were out with the newer models.

Grady this is my third ultera and yes it was turned on. Mark said that it was the trim mechanism on top of the deploy mechanism that had gone bad. I got this one on my pontoon and it is a 36 volt blue tooth model.

As is the case with most modern technology, the more sophisticated and user friendly it is, the more unreliable and costly it becomes. I'm a fishermen, I need reliable equipment. I use proven tools that keep me on the water and out of the repair shop. Regardless of ease of use, until it has a reliability standard, I'm keeping what I got. Just my

Tim this is my third or fourth ultera and this is the first on that I have had trouble with. New stuff can go bad that is why they give you a two year warranty. If there was no chance of one having problems then you would not get a warranty because you would not need it.

Don, good to hear it was a new motor and still under warranty. I was just saying I couldn't remember if that one was new or not.
