    Default Wylie 7-12-18

This was one of those trips you want to forget about. No water was moving & just 8 fish went into the cooler. All small.

Can't complain at all since we have had great luck at wateree for the last several trips. Marked a few fish here & there but got only a few bites. Fished up the river from wateree creek & drifted for cats down at the mouth of wateree creek. Caught a couple of fish anchored & a couple drifting.

Will have to try something different next time. Maybe stripers at Murray!

    Come on cooler weather!

Wasn't trying to hijack Charles' post, but with several poor reports from Wylie I wondered if anyone tried Monticello.
Seems I remember Charles fishes for cats there, but the perch looked good that my friend caught.

    Charles
Looks like you have them laying on a 2x12.
If so, those are very nice sized perch.

That's some good size perch. Looks like it time to try Monticello again for cats & perch.

Those are the nicest perch I've ever seen. You guys that fish Monticello need to check out Steve Comalander on youtube. He goes by the name "the old fisherman". He is a good fisherman and makes some informative, humorus videos. Clean videos that are safe for the whole family.
