    Default Clarks Hill Finally Full

For the first time in a while, the lake is at full pool after all of this rain. The level has come up about 2 feet in the last week. I don't know what this will do to the fishing for anyone headed that way this weekend. I am going up tomorrow but I expect it to be pretty muddy, especially after we get even more rain this evening. The lake could even go above full pool. It will be nice to have it full for the start of summer. Maybe they won't try to see how fast they can let it all out.

Glad to hear it is at full pool. I been wanting to go but I haven't because of the muddy water. I only got 2 more weeks to fish before I will not be able to fish dor a while. Thanks

For whatever reason it just fouled a plug. Changed the plug and put the boat in Lake Russell. It did fine. Thanks for your comment Don.

I was surprised that in the area of the lake I fished (the middle part as my name implies) was still pretty clear. Lots of trash in the water, but not too muddy. I am guessing that was because they let so much water out of Hartwell and Russell that the main river part was still pretty clear. I would also guess that the rivers and larger creeks may have been muddy but I did not go there. Can't comment on the crappie fishing because I bass fished (please forgive me). Decent bass fishing but not great. Lots of hybrids and stripers. I am going back up there for most of the week and will give the crappie another shot. If anyone goes up there, be very careful of the floating debris.

MidHillbilly, I sent you a PM. I would love to hear a little more on those hybrids you were getting unintentionally. Nothing I love more than when they are eating lures.
