Scott, from the reports I have seen, appears the crappie haven't quite moved shallow like I anticipated. I will be fishing this weekend, so we will see where I find them.
We started longlining in back of Beaver creek about 1630. Water was 62-66 degrees. Winds from 5-10+. When winds calmed we caught 3 nice crappies in 5-6' of water. We pulled jigs with minnows. We were on par from what other crappie fishermen were telling us they were catching. After sunset, bite quit and we sat under the bridge until 2200 only catching some perch. Going back Thursday, Lord willing and fish shallows to see what happens

Glad you were able to get out and catch some. We caught Somme in 10 ft of water sat.

Fish are very shallow, on the banks shallow. Even up against wood retaining walls. Cove straight across from Clearwater marina, back of molly creek, and singleton creek. Water temps from 62-68. More males than females.
scottymoe thanked you for this post
You can add the back of Dutchman creek in the weeds too. Also some nice fish at the mouth of wateree creek where the huge paddle boat is. Bunch of people in singleton creek today but I didn't stop.
