    Default Hartwell

I fished in gum log creek/cove which is on the Georgia side. I fished for three hours and got one bite. It was 75 and sunny with winds out of the SW at 15-25 mph. I was fishing from the bank. Water was low and muddy. I used a scented orange body/ yellow tail and others under a bobber and just by their selves. Not a good day but was happy to get out there. I guess still too early.

Not to early sooner08, they are catching some on Hartwell. Stay after them and you may want to try Minnows if jigs are not working and try around brush if you can see any piles from the bank. With the water down you have more water you can cover so hope you find some biting. Gum log is a good creek to fish, good luck.

I tried fishing the same brush pile for two hours and the only bite I got was either a white bass
or white perch. Could not tell. Water was maybe two feet at the
deepest I was fishing. Hoping to find minnows tomorrow. Thanks.

Went to the same spot and one different spot across the bridge and I caught three, all on minnows. Great day. Not sure how to post pics from my phone.
