    I don't think it has. You could call to verify. I have not fished the pier in several years, but it used to be just few bucks, maybe $5 to fish from the pier. You don't need a license to fish from the pier.
    South Carolina has a salt water fishing license requirement. You need to see if it applies to surf fishing, if so the piers might be cheaper, especially since you are out of state.

    It looks like I can get a weeks saltwater license for 11 bucks. Can't beat that!

    I might be wrong on this but I think you will need a regular license and the salt water also best to check all that out before you wet your hook
    one bait we use there is white perch try to catch some within a couple days before we go and freeze um then thaw um out as we need um
    just about anything you catch there will make good bait catch it cut a chunk off it and throw it out == something will come along and eat it
