The best landing is probably at the Buster Boyd bridge on highway 49. The Allison landing is on highway 274 about 15 miles off I-77. The Ebenezer landing is probably the closest to I-77. It is on Mount Gallant road 5-6 miles out of Rock Hill. All are excellent landings with multiple lanes and adjacent docks. It depends really on where you want to fish.

I lived there all of my life and we used to say that on Saturday and Sunday, if you don't have a 250 h.p motor and a boat that does 90 m.p.h., you might get run over! It won't be too bad this time of year.

Where are you driving from??

David, you planning on coming up for the NC/SC clash? Like everyone said you'll be safe at any landing. All can handle pontoons and any bass boat out there. Day or night trip let us know and we'll try to point you in the right direction. We don't have but a couple of hazardous areas and we can let you know if you are coming up.

Actually the NC state line starts just above Torrence Creek and runs all the way up the East Bank to Catawba Crk and anything North of Catawba crk is NC. You can fish above Buster boyd if you stay on the west side of the lake, like mill crk and Catawba crk back to the bridge. Id suggest getting the license or a map.

David ,We will help you find your way around on the lake. As some one said the N.C./S.C/ line starts down at Torrence Branch.But plenty of S.C.water to fish if you dont want to spend the$35.00 for N.C. license. Great campground at Ebenezer. Lot of motels close. Maybe even get the spare room at BigDawggs mansion. P.M. if ya need any info. Would love to see ya on the 14th. Check out the sticky at top of page.

You can get a 10 day non resident NC license for $18. Also Crowders Creek is all in South Carolina
