Thumbs up First Annual Jimmy Swanson Fall Event - Report

Well guys I first want to thank each and everyone of you that attended today. We had another great, beautiful day to spend time together fishing, eating and some time spent with fellowship.

I want to thank each one that that gave donations and prizes, without y'all these event couldn't happen. I want to give a special Thanks to Slab (ED) for the awesome shirts you gave to the ones that made it on the list. What a great tribute to Jimmy and we and the Swanson family Thank You for making them. And I want to Thank Ed Dukes of Southern Crappie Rods for the two 14' rods he donated for this event. We decided this morning that one would go to the biggest crappie and the biggest fish and I (stump) thank you because I won both

Tracy I am so glad you and your son was able to make it to the weigh-in part of the event and we all look forward to your involvement in future events and welcome you to the family here at Crappie.com

We had 12 teams sign in to fish today and 23 people fishing total. We also had three teams of kayakers fishing today and hope to add more in our next event. Here is the guys that had the top weigh-ins plus big crappie and big fish. Today was by far the best day of catching of the week through all the practice our members did this week.

First Place of 6 pounds 8 oz goes to Burdawg and Bringing Blood
Second Places of 6 pounds 5 oz goes to Saludariverman
Third Places goes to Stump Hunter & Brandon
Big Crappie - 2 pounds 9 oz goes to Stump Hunter
Big Fish (White Bass) - 3 pounds 7 oz goes to Stump Hunter

Congrats to the top weigh-in weights and to all of the fisherman that attended and I look forward as always to our next event,
    Ronnie aka Stump Hunter

A couple of pics I took and other will be posting more pics.

    Default Fall Fest

First off, thanks to Stump for putting this event together. Also, thanks to everyone who donated prizes and Slab for the shirts! I don't know many people who love Lake Secession as much as I do, but Jimmy Swanson did and I am glad this event was named in his honor. We had great weather and fishing for most of the morning. Was glad to see a lot of nice fish caught also. Me and Bringingblood both enjoyed the day, fellowship, and fishing with some of the best folk I know. Looking forward to our next event. If it is pre-fished as much as this one, we should have some great weights again!

Looks like everybody caught some fish and had a good time. I think I'm seeing that longlining was the preferred method on Secession today for most everybody?!? Congrats to the trophy takers as well as everybody that participated. I just hate I missed this one but maybe next year. I know Jimmy looked down today with a big ole smile across his face.

Had a great time, except for being put in remedial trailer backing course for some reason or another.
