    Default Report:Daddy and son day out on Santee


    Hit the lake at sun up water temp 76. Fished out of taw caw creek all fish came off of brush in the 15 to 20 foot range 8 to 12 feet down in and around the creek channel. Minnows was the bait of choice wind NE at 8 to 12 mph. All and all a good day! !!

    Glad you had good luck. I assume the wind was not howling like it had been earlier in the week?? Love the smile on the young man.

    I was early but as the day went on the better it got. Most of the brush piles I put out last December are all in protected areas off the creek channel and out of the wind for most directions

    I dont know what's bigger....that slab crappie or your son's smile. I know I'd take that smille anytime. Congrats to a great catch but moreso to the time spent on the water together.
