    Default Secession 9-17-14

Well the fish are biting but had to go through a lot of small fish today to get 15 over 10'' to bring home. Water has turned a little more stained and has cooled off to 85 degrees. All the fish I caught today were near the bottom and I never got a bite if my bait was over 24'' above the bottom. Spider rigged using jigs tipped with small minnows. With the cool down this week the bite will keep getting better.
    Pics from today.

A boat with more room for Rosco and he still wants to get under my feet, even when there isn't enough room!!!

LOL. Love Roscoe. Good job Ronnie. Your live well works better than mine, your fish seem to always be swimming instead of a few floaters.

Way to hunt them deep fish down and catch a nice batch to bring home. I agree, with these cooler temps the fish should start their migration to some shallower water to feed up for the winter.

Jimmy I only seen one other fisherman on the lake all morning. I talked with him and he was longlining jigs and only caught 3 in the same area where I caught my fish at. I didn't try jigs by their self but my the next trip out.

Ray, you have to keep the fresh water coming into the livewell. I put my switch to come on every 7 minutes and most of the time don't have any trouble with them. I like to keep them alive because at times I will release them.
