Trolled for crappies on Big Allison this morning. Water was about 61 & pretty clear. Tried just jigs for a while without any hits then I started tipping the jigs with minnows. Caught 6 nice crappies, 3 perch & 3 cats. I don't think color made in difference just the minnows. The jig were running about 10 to 12' deep. I was back up towards the back end of Big Allison.

All the crappies were full of eggs but none were close to laying.

Got a late start around 9. The water was muddy west of the bridge at 274 but clear below the bridge. Looked around at several of the normal perch hotspots but nothing showed up. I was surprised that all the crappies were still full of eggs.
