Mr Crappie 4 or 6 pound camo line for me!

As for the heads my favorite head is probably an unpainted one, when we are jigging we rarely use a painted head. When we do use painted heads it's usually an orange, gold, or a red. When we are tightlining the majority of our heads are unpainted but we have a few colored ones on there. As for the size of them generally 1/32, 1/64, or 1/16, we rarely use the 1/16 usually just on windy days or if we are tightling.

I had the priviledge to fish with Gabowman for my first longlining experience and I learned real quick how valuable the high vis line is. When you got 12 or 16 lines out the back, you better be able to see the lines or you gonna have a mess on your hands. I went home and changed all mine to high vis yellow.

This makes alot of sense and I may find out the hard way this weekend, but since all I got is camo and all reels have new line on it I am gone try what I got.

This may be a stupid question but for those of you that use the high vis, do yall think the fish can see it easier? (I guess not if yall are using it!) The only reason I ask this question is when a guy that I have talked about before first started fishing with me, he had this line on all his poles. For the first year it seemed I was catching 2 or 3 fish to his 1 with him using the high vis line (on most trips). The next year I re-spooled all of his poles for him and put the line that we use on them, and I didn't notice it. It maybe just a mental thing with me, because it's obviously no difference if yall use it.

Young eyes can probably do just fine with clear line. Mine aint so good and that's why I went with the hi-vis. I try not to ever fish anything but stained water and I dont think the fish pay the line much attention where I fish. In clear water it might make a difference...dunno.

I use trilene Xt green 6lbs... and cajun red 6lb... the high vis work if the waters off color but clear water I believe it'll can hurt you that said most bites trolling are reaction bites anyways, so it may not matter but I tightline with the same rod and reels I longline with so that the main reason I use the green XT.

I don't use one either, just keep my paint in a those re-sealable cups shake it up before use it. Looked up the fluid beds, seems neet but shaking keep it loose enough too.

Was in CVS the other day and found nail polish there for $2 a bottle. There were at least 30 different colors, some neon colors too. Orange, red, chartreuse, yellow, etc. Several colors were available with glitter in them as well. It will take a little longer to coat heads with the applicator but it's a pretty cheap way to try out some new jig head colors.
