Great job CB. That report is worthy of a outdoor magazine.
I hope everyone had a Happy New Year full of good times with friends and family. I haven't been around the boards the last few days so I figured I'd post a compilation of fishing reports and pictures.

I took the day off Friday and hit the water with my dad. My uncle and my wife's uncle teamed up and went after them in another boat. All in all the fishing was pretty good for us and everyone had a great time. We single poled brush and docks for the most part and some quality fish were caught by both boats. Me and my dad kept 29 and the other boat kept 16. There were some slabs in both boats. We did more running than they did and that accounted for the difference in numbers for sure. They weren't killing it anywhere, but we hit enough spots to beat out a nice sack.

With such great success on Christmas Eve, my dad, uncle, and myself all teamed up again on New Years Eve. We weren't disappointed. It started off a cold, but beautiful morning. Temps were in the upper 20's to start with, but we caught another nice stringer of quality fish. We brought home 32 and our top 10 tipped the scales at nearly 13 lbs.
The sight I saw walking out the back door to start the day.

With all the fish catching action, one of my wife's younger sisters wanted to go. So, she suited up and hit the water with me yesterday morning. Luckily it wasn't as cold as my last few trips, but when rain moved in around 10:30 AM it became pretty miserable. The weather and the overabundance of fisherman (due to the holiday i reckon) made for a tough morning for us. Many spots that I like to fish had boats on them and a lot of my better brush piles have been hammered the last couple weeks. We fished hard and beat out a nice mess of 8 keepers though. We earned every last one of our fish yesterday. Even though the numbers were down, the size was still up. We had one fish bumping 2 lbs and all but one was 11"+.
My sister in law sporting one her good fish of the morning. Slabs like this one feel like a brick when you pull them off the bottom in 20 FOW
We had a great weekend with a lot of fish caught. All fish were caught single polin' in 10-20 FOW. Most fish were holding 10-12 foot down, but a few spots we found them laying right on the bottom. Best colors were black/green and yellow/white. We caught them on straight jigs, jigs with meat, and straight meat...no real pattern just kept changing up until we found a few takers. Water temp is holding steady around 46-48 degrees and the fish are active. When one bites, you better hold on...they are fighting like crazy right now!
Hooking up every chance I get!
Great job CB. That report is worthy of a outdoor magazine.
