    Default "In Search Of"

A duracraft, Stick Steer, Jerry Clower Edition, aluminum boat. missed out on the one posted here earlier this year, must have been sleeping. Hesitate to post a picture from the web of one due to not wanting Slab or G to have to head slap me.

But, you can goggle it. They are blue in color with open floor plan with the live well sitting right behind driver seat against side of hull. I believe only 100 were built. Looking for a good, to very good, condition one. Hopefully one or two owner. Keeping my war eagle 861 but wanting this type boat for my reelfoot foot skinny water jig fishing. Aging with my limitations, i desire a stick steer. This type edition also opens up the center of boat for me moving around or my golden retriever, Harlie, having room to lie down in when she is with me.

Appreciate, all feedback. All the ones listed on internet are scams and listed over a year old. No rush on finding one, but desire to find one. Thanks in advance. Blessing to all.

thanks buddy. just want a 15 foot boat. the upper end of reelfoot can get shallow, trees thicks, and stumps tall. my 861 can handle 80 percent of the lake but these tight spaces need a lighter and smaller boat. love my wareagle. they make a 15 foot stick steer also.

    Ed,
I have the boat you’re talking about. It’s a 91 duracraft 1542 stick steer Jerry Clowler edition #73 of 100 with a 40hp Jonson. I picked it up early last year and have been slowly restoring it. I really haven’t been thinking of selling it just because of how much I love it... however I do have three boy all under 10 and may want to go bigger. I took out the live well to open a little more space but kept all the plumbing in place. I mostly single pole jig fish and throw my catch in a cooler. I put a new Terrova trolling motor with spot lock and matching blue grooves hydro turf in it. I even have enough left over hydro turf to cover the live well.

It’s a really great boat. Talk about fishing skinny waters... I’ve seen parts of my home lake that I never knew existed. I’ll try to take some pictures this weekend and post them.

My dad bought my mom one for Mother’s Day the year I was born in ‘75 that was like that. It had got control trolling motor and 25 evinrude. We caught a many crappie and bream out of that boat. Didn’t know it was a “special edition”.
