Have you had any problems with water leaking in around the cradle, I’ve read where that’s been an issue with some of these cradle units

No problems I've fished in the rain a couple of times. Have not had any problems. I also used it ice fishing last winter.

There does seem to be some that have this issue...but garmin has replaced them from what I have heard. I have had several of these and so far no issue with mine.
