    Default 24v Minn Kota Fortrex 80 for trade.


    I have a Minn Kota Fortrex 80lb., 45" shaft, variable speed that I'd like to trade for a helix 9 or 10 si model. The trolling motor works as it should with no issue. It runs $1,250+ new. I'm located in northeast AR. Pm's are best. Thanks, sliderman.

    How old of trolling motor is it? I have a Helix 5 DI GEN 2 with less than 50 hours on it I would trade with some boot. Any pictures of your trolling motor? And will you ship and take PayPal?

    I think I'm going to pass on the H5. I've currently got a 5si and 7si. Looking to replace the 5 with something bigger. Going to try to keep the sale local.

    How old ? I might have a Humminbird 1199 SI if I upgrade to a Garmin Livescope setup .

    I can't say it's exact age. It came off of a 2011 model boat. At some point, the lower housing has been replaced and whoever did the repair, did not engrave the model number. Without that, I can't determine the year of mfg.
    I'd rather be fishing.

    can you get the year of mfg with the Serial Number by calling Minn Kota tech support ??? or you could use this ;

    How To Determine What Year Minn Kota Trolling Motor You Have

    2008 and earlier serial numbers:

    1. Serial numbers start with the two-letter prefix MK (Minn Kota), GN (Genesis), DH (DeckHand), CP (CoPilot), WW (Weedless Wedge 2 models), TT (Trim Tabs), or PT2. After the two-letter prefix will be a two-letter year code:
    0 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9
    A B C D E F G H I J
    Example: If you see a motor with a MKAI designation, it will denote a Minn Kota that is a 2008 model motor

    2009 and later serial numbers:

    The first letter is the year code, the next 3 numbers is the number of the day of the year (out of 365), The next 2 letters are the product code, the last numbers are the serial number.Example: If your number were this:J003MK99999J = 09
    003= Manufactured 3rd day of the year
    MK= Minn Kota
    99999= Serial NumberThe motor would be a 2009.
