    Default Are these crappie?

I caught a few out of this first tree top but it's the last 3 that I'm wondering if these are crappie. I couldn't get a bit on any of these to confirm.

It’s really hard to tell species until you get one in the boat ...

They are definitely hanging close to the structure like crappie would ...

could be but might be shad as well, especially if you didn't get some bites. but they could just be crappie who arn't in the mood. nice you can set your FF on them and come back to see if they are in the mood and if they are shad something should be around to bite.

A buddy & me fished two trees that looked like that awhile back & when we finally caught a couple, they were bluegill.
