    Default Mega Live Imaging

I recently received my HB Mega Live. Does anyone have any suggestions on how it should be wired? Should can I connect it through the fuse box to my starter/ auxiliary battery with a on/ off switch? Or should I connect it directly to the battery? Does it need its own battery ( I sure hope not)?

Drumski79, I recently added the MegaLive transducer to my boat and wired the 12v power wire to my main rocker switch that shuts off all power to the components. I attached ground wire and drain wire to the ground block junction terminal that my switches are attached to. Humminbird recommends using a switch on the ML transducer so it can be turned off and not drain the battery source. Good luck and post some pics on the water.

Thank you Krappie Krane! That gives me a good idea of what needs to be done. I’ve read so many horror story of interference issue, I just needed confirmation of what actually works. I’ll post my simple configuration when I’m finished.

Okay, so I think I have it lined out. I installed an on and off switch. I also saw a guy make a transducer pole out of PVC. So l am going to try it out. Name: IMG_0961.jpg

Looks good and hope you like the install. The crestliner has a lot of room up front which is awesome.

Thanks tcounty! I saw it on YouTube. It is just an inch PVC pipe inside inch and a quarter PVC. Very simple and cost less than $20.

I got out today. I was kind of chilly (44 deg). But I took a promising video. I don’t know how to attach a video. So, here’s a snapshot of the video, LOL. Now, I just need to learn how to dial it in. And how to upload a video.

You will have to upload video to something like YouTube then link it here. Can’t upload directly to here.
