    Default Garmin 93 uhd sv

So I get horrible pictures with my side imaging to the point that I dont even use it. I think it is a settings thing and not a transducer mounting issue. For the most part everything is default because I start messing with it, it ends up worse, then I put them back. Ive been watching some youtube trying to figure it out, but does anybody have some videos they like to help me weed through them?

Also what khz do people run for the most part in sidevu?

Check out MG marine. What transducer do you have? Pics of ducer mount would be good. Start with range at 40 feet and drive by standing timber. Adjust contrast first.

There's a big part of the problem. You don't need the transducer mounted at the same angle as the hull. Your down image is shooting off to the right some. Also, the right side shoots up out of the water column and the left is shooting down unto into the water.

You need to park the boat on a level surface and do your best to get the transducer level with the ground. That way the down image is pointed straight down. One more thing to consider, keep the tilted angle for the lengh axis where it will be level in the water with the way the boat sits. The boat will naturally sit with the bow high. So you want the transducer to be level yet again when in the water.

Once you do this I am sure your image quality will improve drastically!

100% agree. I would suggest moving it up a half inch or so as well. But getting it level is first priority.

I assumed the dealer installed it correctly. Guess I was wrong.

Might be level when you are at the console. Depends on how the boat sits in the water not on the trailer.looks too low to me.

Crappie bite twice a day. 15 minutes before I get there and 10 minutes after I leave.
The two loudest sounds are a gun that goes bang when it is supposed to go click and one that goes click when it is supposed to go bang.
